The gold medalist in the 2018 Asian Games went to her first Olympics this year in Tokyo. She shined so brightly, off and on the skate park, that the public couldn't help but take notice of her out there, “happy to be here” personality!

She doesn’t wait for good things to hapen — she stays positive whether things are going her way or not! In skateboarding, the adrenaline rush of being on the board is like no other. But she doesn’t need it to feel ecstatic. She naturally just is that way!

Her friendship with other skaters, some almost a decade younger than her, is the purest we’ve ever seen! You can see Margie cheering on the competition from the sidelines, talking them up, even getting on Tiktok with them. It’s no surprise that she trended in Brazil — her friendship with Brazil’s Rayssa Leal caught the public’s attention, and they loved every moment of it!

Margie made it to the skateboarding finals but didn’t win a medal. But did that get to her? Of course not! She stayed, cheered everyone on, and remembered what an awesome experience it is to even just be in the Olympics, let alone compete with the best athletes in the world. She was having the time of her life!

She isn’t afraid to show who she is.

When the world’s eyes are on you, you would probably want to put your best foot forward, with a couple of filters, poised and cool. Not when you’re Margie! She puts herself out there and isn’t scared of looking like… well, like herself! Whether it be dancing or falling, who cares about how it looks? Definitely not Margie!

She spreads the positive vibes wherever she goes!

Margie is that person who is a big ball of happiness — just being around her can turn any frown upside down. You only need to see all the posts of her dancing, photobombing, giving bear hugs to other athletes. Language barrier who? Margie doesn’t know her — positivity translates to any culture!

It’s always a thumbs-up kind of day for Didal!
